The State Leadership Conferences for high school students is a two-day conference held each spring. The conference consists of general sessions, competitive events, workshops, leadership programming, awards and recognition, and more.

Lodging

All chapters will secure housing through the Discover Green Bay Housing Site. Failure to reserve through the housing bureau can lead to disqualification.

Policies

CHAPERONE
POLICY

15:1 for all registered students who will be in attendance as of the cancellation deadline. After the cancellation deadline has past, chapters must follow the 15:1 regardless of how many students get on the bus and travel to SLC. Failure to bring the correct number of chaperones will have the chapter face disqualification of all competitors.

ADVISER DUTIES

All advisers and chaperones will be expected to support the conference by completing the assigned duty. Assigned duties can consist of, but not limited to, competitive event check in, competitive event timer, general room supervision, tour supervision, and others to support the operations of the conference.

TECHNOLOGY POLICY

  • No technology or AV equipment will be provided to competitors by Wisconsin FBLA. 

  • Each student competitor is responsible to provide their own device. This includes objective testing which will be completed online.

  • No projectors will be allowed by competitors.

  • All technology guidelines set by the state and national office, and listed in the competitive event guidelines, must be followed.

  • WIFI is not guaranteed for all performance events.

MATERIALS
POLICY

  • Pencils are the responsibility of the student to provide.

  • Calculators are NOT allowed by any competitor.

  • Prejudged projects will NOT be available to students or judges on the day of SLC.

  • Student IDs will be required for check-in for all competitive events. IDs may be physical or electronic versions.

DRESS CODE POLICY

Wisconsin FBLA follows the Dress Code set by the national office.

SHUTTLE POLICY

Wisconsin FBLA does NOT provide shuttle service from the hotels to the KI Convention Center. It is the responsibility of each chapter to provide their own transportation.

HOUSING POLICY

Wisconsin FBLA requires FBLA members, advisers, and chaperones to stay in a hotel that is part of the FBLA housing block coordinated by Discover Green Bay. Schools may choose to drive each day if they are within a reasonable distance to the conference. Failure to reserve through the housing bureau can lead to disqualification.
