Gold Seal

The Hollis and Kitty Guy Gold Seal Chapter of Merit Award recognizes outstanding local chapters that have actively participated in projects and programs identified with the goals of FBLA. Active local chapters must be nominated by the State Leader or their designee and be on record with the National Center as having paid dues by March 1 of the current program year. Each state may select two chapters or up to 15 percent of its total number of active local chapters, whichever is greater, for this award.

For a local chapter to be considered a qualifier for the Gold Seal Chapter Award of Merit nomination, the following criteria must be met:

  1. Attended the National Leadership Conference

  2. Attended the Wisconsin Fall Leadership Conference or the National Fall Leadership Conference.

  3. Submitted a local chapter program of work to the State Office by December 1.

  4. Attended the Regional Leadership Conference.

  5. Submitted Local Chapter Annual Business Report for state competition.

  6. Attended the State Leadership Conference

If more than 15 percent of Wisconsin’s active chapters meet criteria #1 through #6, the following criteria will be used for elimination:

  • Participated in the Business Achievement Awards.

  • Participated in state and national partner programs for the current year and documented activities.

  • Planned visits to business and industry.

  • Participated in charitable fundraising projects for the state official charity of choice.

  • Invited businesspersons and other professionals to become involved in chapter activities and document activities.

  • Conducted projects or programs identified with the goals of FBLA.

Please complete the following sections as completely and honestly as possible. Only include activities from June 1 of the previous year until the time of application submission.
